Stage Door Parents

The parents of every student participating in the show are asked to sign up for two shifts as “Stage Door Parents.” The task is a truly easy one and either mom or dad can do it on an evening when your child is scheduled at rehearsal.

Stage Door Parents are simply an adult presence at the door to the building when the kids leave at the end of rehearsal. You arrive 15 minutes prior to the end of rehearsal and ring up to say you’ve arrived. You can stand inside the lobby until kids begin to come down, at which point you stand outside the door. Keep an eye on kids as they walk to the garage and make sure that the kids waiting for parents to pick them up all connect with their rides. The entire shift typically takes about half an hour – that’s all there is to it.

There are a lot of rehearsals and you all have kids participating, so the way to make this easy is to simply ask each parent to sign up for two nights if possible and it’s painless for everyone. Just follow the link below to see the available nights and claim yours. Thank you!
