Some costume guidelines for the Dec 8 preview performance and the Dec 17  understudy performance:

• From your personal clothing, please select an outfit that is most conducive for the character(s) you portray. This is not so much a costume as an outfit that makes it easier to imagine you in your role.
• No jeans, no t-shirts, no shorts, no printed logos or text.
• Shoes: For the First Time in Forever/Love Is an Open Door: wear character shoes if you have them or something similar if you don’t have character shoes. In other songs, wear jazz shoes if you have them or flat-soled tennis shoes. Speak to Lula if you have questions about shoes.
• Male-identifying characters: please match socks the shoe or pant color.
• We will not attempt to do “performance hair” for the preview. Please wear your hair in a way that looks good and is conducive to your movement and dancing.
