The following info is for students who will be in grades 3-8 in the upcoming 2025-26 school year. Auditions for these ages will happen on Friday, July 18 and Sunday, July 20 (you’ll pick one).
For this age group, the dance audition is mandatory and the vocal (singing) audition is optional. Everyone in the show will both sing and dance as a group. Those who do the optional vocal audition will also be considered for a few featured singing parts.
There is nothing to rehearse or prepare in advance for the dance audition! The choreographer will create some fun movement with the group and you will try to do the same movements. Auditionees should arrive wearing clothes that make it easy and comfortable to dance (you don’t need dance clothes, just non-restrictive clothing that isn’t too warm).
If you choose to also do the singing audition, you will prepare a short segment of a song that you sing well (maximum length is one minute and it can be shorter). Either bring sheet music or a recording without vocals (like a karaoke track) on a phone or similar device.

Those selected for the young ensemble will begin rehearsing August 4-9 from 10am-noon. There will be additional rehearsals with the large group August 9-11 and the performance is August 13. A detailed schedule will be released shortly after the audition dates.
