The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial support to further the education of a student within the Valley View School District who shares Carrie’s great love and enthusiasm for the fine and performing arts. The scholarship will support higher education for students who plan to major or minor in fine or performing arts. It will be based on the student’s ability to succeed academically and on an evaluation of their activities in the fine or performing arts. Fine and performing arts shall be defined as, but not limited to: painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, creative writing, architecture, film studies, music, dance, drama and technical theatre. Scholarship is $500 renewable for three additional years (total $2,000). The application deadline is March 8, 2019.
