Omopé Carter Daboiku
Omopé Carter Daboiku is a cultural geographer, an award-winning teller of tales and a seasoned stage and voice actor with multiple production credits and accolades in theater and television. Working to share generational wisdom while aligned with arts-based, culturally relevant academic curriculum, Omopé reaches international audiences and has forged creative/educational partnerships with the U.S. State Dept., the Ohio Arts Council, the Cincinnati Arts Association, the Ohio Storytelling Network, the Association for the Study of African American Life and History, the Urban Appalachian Community Coalition and Sinclair College.
Arts Integration with Omopé
Omopé weaves together elements of storytelling, self-expression and sharing. Experiences uniquely designed for each classroom may utilize written explorations and readings, community presentations and creative curricular activities. “I listen and bring together what the teacher expects, what the children need and what the universe wants to have done.”
